Non-Aligned Visions is the second project organized under the Turning Points in Global Media Histories research stream at the Center for Advanced Research in Global Communication.

Non-Aligned Visions is spearheaded by Eszter Zimanyi and Sima Kokotović.

The project has three public outputs:

1) An official pre-conference at the 2025 International Communication Association conference, titled “Non-Aligned Disruptions: Global Media Histories in the Wake of Decolonization”

2) A multimedia exhibit, “Non-Aligned Visions,” featuring the works of Carmen Amengual, Samah Gafar and Andrea Thal, Essa Grayeb, Sanaz Sohrabi, and Suneil Sanzgiri (August - October, 2025).

3) An open-access edited volume of essays, creative critical writing, and multimedia projects on the cultural impact of the Non-Aligned Movement (forthcoming).
